İEARN təşkilatı çərçivəsində 11-16 aprel tarixində School Uniform Exchange layihəsi çərçivəsində qardaş Turkiyə Cümhuriyyetinin Kocaeli-İzmit şəhər Cahit Elginkan Anadolu Liseyində qonaq olduq. Cahit Elginkan Komşular Buluşuyor layihəsi altinda Rusiyadan ve Azərbaycandan olan şagird və müəllimləri birləşdiridi. 25-30 May 2011-ci il tarixdə həmin layihənin davamı olaraq məktəbimizə Cahit Elginkan Anadolu Liseyindən təşrif buyuran müəllim və şagird kollektivini İsmayıllı rayon 1saylı tam orta məktəbdə qarşıladıq və doğma Azərbaycanımızda müsafir etdik. Qonaqlarla elmi praktik diskussiyalar keçirdik ,tariximizi tanıtdıq.

About Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan is one of the oldest countries in the world, with a rich and ancient history. A state system formed in the 9th century B.C. The Manna state reached high economic and cultural levels. The Medes conquered Manna in the first part of the 6th century B.C. The name of the country comes from the name Atropatena ruler –Atropat. Later it became Azerbaijan. In the 5th century B.C. the Azerbaijan state became strong again. In the medieval centuries the Gara goyunly, ag goyunly and Sefevids states were in power. In the 18th century a number of independent states – khanates appeared. May 28, 1918 is the day of establishing the Independent Azerbaijan Republic. It lived for only 23 months. Troops of the 11th Red Army came to Baku. In December, 1992 Azerbaijan bcame a part of the former USSR. In 1991 Azerbaijan gained its independence again. It opened a new stage in the history of Azerbaijan.
Baku is the capital and the largest city of Azerbaijan. It is on the southern shore of the Apsheron peninsula. The origin of the name Baku comes from “bad kube”-“city of winds”.
The center of Baku is the old town. It is also a Fortrss. In the old town you can see narrow alleys and ancient buildings: the palace of of Shirvanshahs, two caravansarays (ancient inns),the 11th century Maiden’s Tower, the baths and the Djuma Mosque. The town also has dozens of small mosques. These places are among the most visited sights in Baku.
The southern part of the old city has interesting art and architecture. Fine arts, history and literature museums are here.
Modern Baku has eleven districts and 48 townships. Among these are townships on islands in the bay and one island town, “Oil Rocks”, built on stilts in the Caspian Sea .
About our school
Our school name is school #1 named after Israil Hasanov. He is a scientist from our region that is why our school carries his name. Our school is founded in 1961. There are 1291 students and 140 teachers in our school. 671 of them are boys, 620 of them are girls. The first principal of our school was Israil Hasanov. Our school is very big. It is situated in the center of the region. We have very good, innovative and kind teachers at our school. Our school looks like a letter H. Our school is public. We have got a uniform at our school. The director and the parents designed our school uniform. Girls wear white blouse and black skirt; the boys wear white shirt and black trousers. In winter we wear suits. We have morning and afternoon classes. Morning classes are from 8 till 1 o’clock; afternoon classes are from 1 till 6 o’clock. We have a canteen at our school and we have lunch there. Every year lots of students enter universities from our school. Our students participate in many projects. The main thing is that they participate in these projects in English.
Till this day, 3 of our students have gone to study in America about a year with the FLEX program. Aynur Ismayilova studied for a year in America and now she is a student at the University of Foreign Languages.
Saadat Atakishiyeva earned a year study in America and after a year she entered the university there. Now she continues her education in the Dimon university Iowa state.
Camila Pashayeva earned a year study and now she studies in California. We have contact with our students and their schools, also their families.
Leyla Atakishiyeva and Seljug Suleymanli participated with their teacher Shukufa Najafova in “Leadership” project and they earned 2 weeks study in America. They presented there and their friends like their work.
Farah Maharramova participated in “Global scholarship” project and was choosen as a global student in the world.
As of now, Parvana Pirieva participates with her students in the “Student Uniform Exchange” project and lots of IEARN projects .Parvana Pirieva also participates in AzETA conferences .
Our student Vusal Hamzayev works in London. He opened Azerbaijani school there and at the same time he publishes a newspaper named “Araz” there. Rashad Huseynov works in OSCE as a diplomat.
One of our students Seymur Mammadli works in ANS TV as a translator.This year Seymur earned Muscie program and went to USA to study.
In 2008 our school participated in the competition held by our government called “The best school of the year” and won. Two of our teachers also participated in the competition called “The best teacher of the year” and won. We love our school and hope that you will like our school.

Competition announcement among AzETA Branches
AzETA is growing day by day. Now it unites more than 15% of English teachers of Azerbaijan, i.e. there are more than 1,200 AzETA members. As such, AzETA continues to serve its members better. With that intention, AzETA establishes branches in different regions of Azerbaycan with the request of the teachers from the regions. However, as AzETA is a volunteer organisation, more branches mean more work. How can we guarantee professionalism and quality service to our members? How can we guarantee high quality work of our branches?
At the 7th AzETA International ELT Conference AzETA Executive Director Ragsana Mammadova had a meeting with the Managers of the AzETA Branches, as well as, AzETA activists from non-branch regions. At the meeting, she initiated to launch a competition among AzETA branches to encourage the members to be actively involved in the branch activities. As such, the competition was announced on 1 December 2011 and ended on 31 March 2011. The branches participated very actively in the competition.
On 1 May 2011 Selection Committee consisting of Executive Director of AzETA Ragsana Mammadova, AzETA President Hijran Huseynova and the Co-ordinator of the AzETA Branches Gamar Rustamova worked hard to select the winner. It was really a real challenge to make a fair decision as 2 branches – Barda and Sheki Branches had almost the same points. But the Selection Committee awarded Sheki Branch as from its establishment, Sheki Branch always demonstrated development through increasing its members, quality of its activities, as well as, presenting the Branch in large-scale AzETA events with the highest number of member participation. As such, Sheki Branch Manager Afer Mammadova was awarded to attend Pilgrims teacher training course in Canterbury, Kent, UK on 3 – 16 July 2011.
As the competition increased the work of the branches, AzETA decided to hold competitions every year. As such, a new competition is announced from 1 June 2011 until 31 March 2012. The most active member from the branch that will meet the criteria will be sent to an international event outside Azerbaijan in the summer of 2012. AzETA will find funding for that member. Below are the selection criteria:
1. The branch with the highest number of membership
2. a branch which organises different activities, including, but not limited to, workshops, teacher training, conversation classes, celebrations, discussions, meeti...ngs, etc. (this should be prepared in a form of a newsletter where photos also need to be included for each event, activity)
3. The branch that sends more members to AzETA Regional Conference
4. The branch that sends the Action Plan for 2011 to the Branch Managers' Co-ordinator (i.e. Gamar Rustamova). Then we will share this Action Plan with other branches so that the other branches take part in their events wherever possible
5. The branch that keeps in touch with other branches and sends representatives to their events (brief information and photos will be required on each event)
6. The branch that promotes AzETA in their region more (brief information and photos will be required for each event)
7. The branch that regularly makes comment on AzETA Facebook (only professional comments related to ELT)
8. The branch that will provide an article, or articles for the AzETA News Bulletin will have 1 point extra. (2 articles mean 2 points, etc.)
9. The branch that sends the Activity Report for 2010 by mid-January 2011.
The competition will end up on 31 March 2012. The results will be announced on 1 May 2012. By 1 April, the branches will nominate one member who has been very active in the branch activities providing any kinds of support, as well as, promoting AzETA and the Branch among his/her peers at workplace. This member will be nominated by the Branch Management Team and voted for or against by the members of the Branch.

Müsabiqənin Təşkilat Komitəsi
İyunun 16-da Təhsil Nazirliyində «İngilis dilinin intensiv tədrisi» layihəsi üzrə görülmüş işlər, əldə olunmuş nailiyyətlər və qarşıda duran vəzifələrə dair tədbir keçirilib.
Tədbir iştirakçılarını salamlayan təhsil naziri Misir Mərdanov Təhsil Nazirliyinin «British Council» beynəlxalq təşkilatı ilə sıx əməkdaşlıq etdiyini nəzərə çatdırıb, birgə layihələrin uğurla həyata keçirildiyini bildirib və görülmüş işlər haqqında məlumat verib. Təhsil naziri «İngilis dilinin intensiv tədrisi» layihəsi barədə danışaraq qeyd edib ki, layihənin əsas məqsədi ingilis dili müəllimləri üçün tədris sahəsində ən son nailiyyətləri əks etdirən müasir ixtisasartırma-təkmilləşdirmə sisteminin yaradılması, ingilis dilinin tədrisində interaktiv təlim metodlarının və yeni pedaqoji texnologiyaların tətbiqindən ibarətdir.
Nazir onu da bildirib ki, 2003-cü ildən «British Council»un təşəbbüsü ilə Azərbaycan İngilis Dili Müəllimləri Assosiasiyası (AzETA) yaradılıb və təşkilatın Bakıda baş ofisi, 8 regionda isə filialı fəaliyyət göstərir. Azərbaycanın dünya birliyinə inteqrasiyası, beynəlxalq əməkdaşlığın genişlənməsi baxımından xarici dillərin tədrisi işinin təkmilləşdirilməsinin əhəmiyyətinə toxunan təhsil naziri beynəlxalq təcrübədə uğurla istifadə olunan metodikaların ölkəmizdə də tətbiqinin səmərəli nəticələr verdiyini bildirib. Misir Mərdanov ölkəmizin ümumtəhsil məktəblərində xarici dillərin tədrisi sahəsində mövcud olan problemlər və onların həlli üçün görülmüş işlərdən bəhs edib, 2008-2009-cu dərs ilindən Bakı şəhərində 7 pilot məktəbdə «İngilis dilinin intensiv tədrisi» layihəsinin həyata keçirildiyini nəzərə çatdırıb.
Nazir layihənin 189 sinifi və 5352 şagirdi əhatə etdiyi, məktəblərdə ingilis dilinin intensiv tədrisi üçün hazırlanmış yeni tədris planları, proqramları və müəyyənləşdirilmiş dərsliklər barədə məlumat verib. İngilis dilini intensiv tədris edəcək müəllimlərin hazırlığı məqsədi ilə «British Council»un təlimçiləri tərəfindən keçirilmiş təlim seminarlarında 7 pilot məktəbdən 120 nəfər müəllimin peşəkarlıq səviyyəsi və metodik bacarıqlarının artırıldığını bildirən təhsil naziri ingilis dili tədris edilən bütün ümumtəhsil məktəblərində tədrisin keyfiyyətinin yüksəldilməsinin zəruriliyini önə çəkib. Məhz bu amili nəzərə alaraq növbəti tədris ilindən ingilis dili intensiv tədris edilən məktəblərin sayının 20-yə çatdırılmasının nəzərdə tutulduğunu söyləyən Misir Mərdanov bununla əlaqədar qarşıda duran vəzifələri diqqətə çatdırıb, bir sıra təklif və tövsiyələrini verib.
«British Council»un Azərbaycan üzrə direktoru Pol Klementson «İngilis dilinin intensiv tədrisi» layihəsinin uğurla həyata keçirildiyinə görə təhsil naziri Misir Mərdanova minnətdarlığını bildirib. Təhsil Nazirliyinin birgə əməkdaşlığa xüsusi önəm verdiyini vurğulayan P.Klementson rəhbərlik etdiyi təşkilatın fəaliyyətinin əsas istiqamətlərindən söhbət açıb və birgə layihələrin xalqlarımız arasındakı münasibətlərin inkişafına xidmət etdiyini nəzərə çatdırıb. Beynəlxalq aləmdə təhsil və biznes sahələrində uğur qazanmaq üçün ingilis dilini bilməyin əhəmiyyəti, dünyada ingilis dilindən istifadə edənlərin sayının sürətlə artması haqda fikirlərini bildirən «British Council»un Azərbaycan üzrə direktoru Azərbaycanda da ingilis dilinin intensiv tədrisi istiqamətində görülən işlərin müsbət nəticələr verdiyini söyləyib.
«İngilis dilinin intensiv tədrisi» layihəsi çərçivəsində həyata keçirilmiş tədbirləri nəzərə çatdıran «British Council»un proqramlar üzrə meneceri Gülşən Hüseynova görülmüş işlərin nəticələrinə dair faktları sadalayıb, milli dərsliklərlə yanaşı, Kembric Universitetinin nəşr etdiyi və Azərbaycan üçün məqbul olan dərslik komplektlərindən (şagird üçün dərslik, iş dəftəri, müəllim üçün vəsait, CD, audio vəsait və didaktik materiallar) istifadə olunduğunu bildirib. Gülşən Hüseynova ötən il pilot məktəblərin 85 müəlliminin I və VII siniflərdə dərslərinin «British Council» əməkdaşları tərəfindən müşahidə edildiyini vurğulayıb.
2011-ci ildə layihənin 4 aparıcı təlimçisinin Böyük Britaniyanın Vorvik Universitetində intensiv təlimlərdə iştirak etdiyini söyləyən «British Council»un proqramlar üzrə meneceri layihənin ümumi monitorinqinin yekun nəticələrini diqqətə çatdırıb. Gülşən Hüseynova Azərbaycanda ingilis dilinin tədrisinə ayrılmış saatların həcmini digər ölkələrdəki uyğun göstəricilərlə müqayisə edib, layihənin səmərəliliyini artırmaq üçün bir sıra müvafiq təkliflərini bildirib.

Elektron Təhsil Müsabiqəsinin qalibləri seçilib

“Elektron Təhsil” Müsabiqəsinin Təşkilat Komitəsinin növbəti toplantısı keçirilib. Toplantıda Müsabiqənin səsverməsinin yekun – 3-cü mərhələsinin nəticələri müzakirə olunub. Məlum olduğu kimi Müsabiqənin Münsiflər Heyəti tərəfindən Nominantlar arasından qaliblərin seçilməsi ilə bağlı qiymətləndirmə və səsvermə prosesi artıq başa çatıb. Səsvermənin 2-ci mərhələsinin yekununda 5 Nominasiya üzrə 601 resurs arasından ən yaxşılar olan 98 resurs Nominant statusu almışdı.
Təşkilat Komitəsinin toplantısında səsvermənin yekun mərhələsinin də şəffaf və ədalətli formada keçirilməsi üçün yetərli şəraitin yaradıldığı qeyd olunub. Səsvermənin yekun prosesinin Münsiflər Heyətinin üzvləri tərəfindən elektron formada gizli olaraq keçirildiyi vurğulanıb. Səsvermə prosesində Nominantlara aidiyyatı olan Münsiflər Heyəti üzvlərinin səslərinin nəzərə alınmadığı, iki Nominasiyada qalib gələnlərə Əsasnaməyə uyğun olaraq yalnız bir qiymətli hədiyyənin verilməsi ilə bağlı məlumatlar nəzərə alınıb.
Təşkilat Komitəsinin toplantısında elektron təhsil resurslarının hazırlanması istiqamətində müəllimlər arasında artıq rəqabətin formalaşdığı da vurğulanıb. Gələcəkdə Müsabiqənin Əsasnaməsinin daha də təkmilləşdirilməsinin vacibliyi qeyd olunub.
Toplantıda qaliblərin mükafatlandırılması ilə bağlı Təqdimat mərasiminin keçirilməsi məsələsi də müzakirə olunub.
18 iyun 2011-ci il tarixdə saat 10.00-da Təhsil nazirliyinin Akt Zalında Müsabiqənin qaliblərinin mükafatlandırılmasına həsr olunan Təqdimat mərasiminin keçirilməsi nəzərdə tutulub. Qaliblərin adları Təqdimat mərasimində açıqlanacaq.
Müsabiqənin Əsasnaməsinə müvafiq olaraq qaliblərin adları Təqdimat mərasimindən sonra saytda yerləşdiriləcək və KİV də dərc olunacaq.
Bu ilki Müsabiqədə hər bir Nominasiya üzrə 1-ci, 2-ci və 3-cü yerlərin qaliblərinə , hər bir Nominasiya üzrə fərqlənənlərə və ən çox layihə təqdim edən məktəbə diplomların və qiymətli hədiyyələrin verilməsi nəzərdə tutulub.
“2008-2012-ci illərdə təhsil sisteminin informasiyalaşdırılması üzrə Dövlət Proqramı” çərçivəsində həyata keçirilən Elektron Təhsil Müsabiqəsi HP, Ultra, Microsoft Azərbaycan, Intel korporasiyasının “Gələcək üçün təhsil” proqramı, AZEDUNET, Azerfon-Vodafone və Mədəd təşkilatları tərəfindən dəstəklənir.
